THE WONDERS OF BANANA!

When was the last time you had a banana? Bananas are good for you and can be used in a variety of ways. Some will use it with their cereals. Others will just peel off the skin and eat it, but did you know that you can make some tasty desserts with it? It can, also, be used as a tool for to help you lose weight. Add to it, the medical benefits, and you will have to admit that it is a good thing for you to eat bananas!

BANANA CREAM PIE IS A GOOD DESSERT!

I am sure after reading some of my articles, you must think I've lost my mind. Here I am, writing about eating right and now I talk about Banana Cream Pie? Many may ask-Do you know how many calories are in that Banana Cream Pie? To you, I would say-Chill! Live a little and indulge. If you feel guilty, work it out in the gym and sin no more! Life is not worth living, if once in a while, we cheat on our diet and indulge in our favorite dessert!

What I like about Banana Cream Pie is the nice, fluffy sweetness that just melts in your mouth. Many would add Vanilla wafers, which gives this a much needed kick. It is the kind of dessert that one plate is not enough. Another piece of the pie will hit the spot. Just make sure you save some for your other family members.

Did you know that Bananas can help relieve muscle pains? It is filled with potassium and helps fight fatigue! Bananas were an exotic fruit, until they became commonplace in the 19th century, It has become so popular that, in recent studies, they found that bananas are the number one fruit in America!!


ANYONE FOR PIE THROWING?

How many of you have seen the old slapstick comedy films where people are throwing pies at each other? One of my favorites were the Three Stooges! They seemed to be experts at pie throwing. In fact, not long ago, the famous Bill Gates was hit with a cream pie! Many may not know it , but in many slapsticks shorts, they fllled the plates with shaving cream because it was easier to wash off.

Did you know that clowns throw Banana Cream pie at each other? Yes, that is a fact. In my opinion, that is a waste of a good dessert! Why not stick with Shaving cream? Oh, well! Anyway, Banana Cream pie has come a long way. Did you know that in the 1950's, Banana Cream pie was voted as the Armed Forces Favorite pie? This delicious dessert has been around for years and it is here to stay!

DIFFERENT USES OF THE BANANA CREAM PIE!

What I like about this dessert is that you can modify and add just about anything you want. I have enclosed some links to help create some ideas for your eating pleasure. If you don't want to indulge, there are different types of Banana Cream pie that is cholesterol free. Also, you can make sugar free pies if you prefer to stick to your diet.

As you can see, Banana cream pie are a welcome delight. Perhaps you want to share a Banana Cream pie story or recipe. Feel free to share. So, why don't you make a Banana Cream pie soon. OTHER BANANA DESSERTS!

You can use other Banana Desserts, if you don't like Banana Cream pie. You can have a nice, home cooked Banana Pudding. This is a great treat and easy to make, if you don't want to waste time. Another great Banana dessert is Banana bread. A moist and sweet meal, it is a delightful snack to enjoy! You can even add ginger or cinnamon flavor to it.

Believe it or not, you can use the Banana in your diet if you want to lose pounds. Japanese studies have found that this simple diet works. This simple diet plan followed below can give you good results.(Check with your doctor before proceeding!)

SIMPLE DIET PLAN

1-For Breakfast, eat one or more Bananas until full, followed by a glass of lukewarm water.

2-For lunch, a nice meal of choice such as a sandwich or soup.

3-If you are hungry, you can eat something sweet like a granola bar until about 3 pm

3- Meal of choice and no dessert. You must eat before 8 pm.

The only beverage to be consumed is water at room temperature. Many believe that drinking water at room temperature can reduce hunger pangs. A rule of thumb is to go to bed before midnight. Get yourself 7 or 8 hours of sleep because sleep deprivation has been linked to obesity. Also, Bananas have been found to help with indigestion and make you feel full. The Japanese, also, believe that eating until 80% full is better than "stuffing" yourself.

When I was growing up in the 60's, my mom told me to eat all my food on the plate because hungry people in China were dying. Nowadays, we have buffets and we like to jump on all you can eat, but eating until full is not the answer. I am not, against, indulging once in a while, but don't overdo it! Nothing is worse than having a stomach ache after a good home cooked meal. Bon Apetite!
